‘Glee’ star Lea Michele has big ambitions
Written by on August 4th, 2011

Be yourself, go after your dreams, and don’t let the haters get you down. Life lessons from Lea Michele.
“How many managers told me, ‘Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough’?” the Glee star asks in a chat with Harper’s Bazaar. “But I proved them wrong.” Totally.

Lea has denied rumors she did get that nose job. “In 3-D, my nose is going to look fabulous,” she quips, referring to the 3-D Glee movie out Aug. 12.

Lea isn’t exactly Heidi Klum-sexy. And she’s fine with it. “I’m 5-foot-3. I don’t look like a lot of other people, you know what I mean?” she says. “I look like I’m 12.” The actor, who turns 25 on Aug. 29, also has a 12-year-old’s energy. “I don’t stop,” she says. “It’s my nature. People have to tell me to slow down. I plan on playing every role on Broadway. I want to do Evita. I want to do Sweeney Todd with [Glee's] Chris Colfer. We want to do Wicked. I’ll be Elphaba and he wants to play ‘Guy-Linda.’ I want to do movies, make music.” Is that all?A big O for the Big O!

Chris and Lea react to glee casting changes
Written by on July 18th, 2011

Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy said he warned Chris Colfer and and Lea Michele that their characters would be written off after Season 3, but it seems the actors didn’t quite hear him.

“I didn’t necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year,” Colfer, 21, told Extra Thursday. “I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can’t be there forever.”

Though it may seem bittersweet, Colfer is excited to see what adventures lies ahead for his character, Kurt Hummel. “I would love to see him walking off to the sunset with an internship at Vogue,” the actor said. “That’s where he’s headed. That’s what I would like.”

Colfer also hopes Murphy will ask him back for a few episodes. “I’m hoping I can be like Farrah Fawcett, a la Charlie’s Angels, and come back in the fifth episode,” he mused. “Or I can be like Batgirl in the Batman series, where there’s a symbol in the opening credits and you know they’re in it.”

Meanwhile, Colfer’s costar Michele is trying to keep her spirits up after Murphy made the news public Wednesday. “We always knew we’d graduate in real time. It’s all part of the plan and it’s all good,” the actress, 24, tweeted Thursday. “It’s going to make Season 3 amazing! This is just the beginning!”

Lea Michele in The Hollywood Reporter!
Written by on June 16th, 2011

In new The Hollywood Reporter (The Voice on the cover), issue for June 24th we can find an interview with Lea and other comedy actresses like Amy Poehler (Parks & Recreation), Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory), Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) and Jenna Fischer (The Office). They reveal their big breaks, parenthood fears and why it’s “so boring” to ever ask a question about women and comedy.

Do you have one hour of free time? If yes, sit down, relax and watch full interview! :)

I have also added to the photo gallery scans from The Hollywood Reporter, so visit gallery as well.

And at the end, I have for you behind the scenes video from the shoot, so check it out :)

Scans from Cosmopolitan UK, June 2011.
Written by on May 25th, 2011

I’ve just added scans from Cosmopolitan UK, June 2011 issue. Lea spilled all sorts of juicy deets about herself – from what she was like in high school to her relationship with Theo Stockman, see what she told Cosmo UK visiting photo gallery – see scans and read full interview!

On what she was like in high school: I wasn’t a goody-goody; I loved to have fun. I never did drugs. Acting always came first. I was lucky, because I really believed in who I was.

On getting a nose job: Of course, I thought about it. I’m sooo thankful that I didn’t.

On where she thought her acting career would head: I knew I wasn’t going to end up on a Disney half-hour show. I mean, look at me! I don’t look like those girls. I just wanted to do a guest appearance on something like Grey’s Anatomy.

On her idea of a perfect night: Take a shower, put on a bathrobe, pour myself a glass of wine and Skype with Theo. That’s the best.

Lea Michele covers Marie Claire! ;)
Written by on April 12th, 2011

No stranger to the spotlight, Lea Michele spent more than a decade on Broadway before joining the cast of Glee. She tells Marie Claire how playing Rachel Berry has changed her life and what it’s really like having to pretend to pine for Cory Monteith in front of the cameras.

THE DIVA: LEA MICHELE
Age: 24;
Hometown: Tenafly, NJ;
Character Name: Rachel Berry

Was high school heaven or hell?
It was just about getting through unscathed. I wasn’t the coolest kid, but I got by. I played volleyball, I was a varsity debater — I won a lot of trophies for that; I talk very fast! — and I only did one play and one musical because I wanted to give other people an opportunity. I also had a long-term high school boyfriend — there was some intense, emotional journaling from that — and a nice group of friends. It was really normal.

My pre-Glee gig was…
I worked consistently on Broadway from when I was 8 years old through Spring Awakening, which I left in 2008.

You famously got into a car accident on the way to your Glee audition, ditched the rental, and ran to the Fox lot anyway. Were you at all afraid they would think you were nuts?
I was more afraid that they’d think I was using that as an excuse for being late. Because at first they were like, “Oh, my God, are you OK?” But after a while they were joking, “So that ‘car crash’ you were in …” I literally had chunks of glass that I pulled from my hair and put on the table. I look back on that day and think, I can’t believe I did that. I left the car on the side of the road. But something came over me.

What’s the story behind the First Wives Club?
It started a year and a half ago. The girls would get a bottle of red wine and stay a few hours after work to hang out and catch up in my trailer. Now we do it whenever we want. Occasionally, we’ll let one of the boys in, and it’s so funny to hear them talk about it. They’re like, “Have you been to First Wives Club?” “I’ve been once.” “Did they let you in?” “They let me in last week, but they wouldn’t let me in this week.” We also hang out a lot together off the set — I’m with Dianna, Amber, and Jenna nearly every day.

Your love prediction for Rachel?
I think people want her to be with Finn. And I love working with Cory so much. He’s my buddy. The other day we did a scene, and my direction was to look longingly at him as he walked away. And I’m looking at him … looking … looking … and he starts making fart noises off camera. And I’m like, “What the fuck? What are you doing? I’m supposed to be in love with you? Are you crazy?” So thanks, Cory, for that.

How many tattoos do you have?
I have 10, but they’re tiny: a gold star for Rachel, one for Spring Awakening, the butterfly on my back is for my mom, another on my foot is for my cousins, and Kevin and Jenna and I have “Imagine.” The day I got my newest one — it won’t be my last — I texted Kevin, “At the tattoo parlor,” and he replied, “We just got here. Where are you?” And I said, “I’m in New York. Where are you?” And he goes, “At the tattoo parlor in L.A.” We’d randomly gone on the same night.

Tabloid terror: What’s been the most absurd rumor you’ve heard?
We refer to Jenna and Kevin’s houses as the “Love Nest” because we read that they were shacked up — they’re not dating, they’re best friends. And once someone said that Chris was hit by a fruit truck and died. Recently, I read that I was kicked off a plane: “Lea was using her BlackBerry …” I don’t even own one.

If everyone graduates by 2012, what’s your fantasy future for Rachel?
I totally figured it out: Rachel Berry grown-up is Charlotte York from Sex and the City, if Charlotte were raised in Ohio by two gay men.

Lea Michele loves being uncool.
Written by on March 15th, 2011

femalefirst.co.uk: The ‘Glee’ star – who plays competitive singer Rachel Berry in the musical comedy TV show – revealed she is happy to be a role model for young girls and wants to show them that you don’t have to be “cool” to be successful in life.

She explained: I’m really proud [to be a role model]. I don’t have any skeletons in my closet and I don’t feel like I’m pretending to be someone that I’m not. Yes, I work really hard and I’m determined like Rachel but I’m also a really happy, easy-going person.

She added: Plus, I’m proud of the choices I made growing up and want to show young girls that you don’t have to do what all the cool kids do in order to turn out OK in the real world.

While she has a demanding work schedule, Lea insists working on ‘Glee’ is a dream job. However, she admits she found it difficult to adapt when she first moved to Los Angeles from New York for ‘Glee’.

She said in an interview with Zest magazine: The dance routines we learn at work are pretty punishing, especially when you have to do 50 takes of something. But when I look around and realise how much fun I’m having with my best friends, it just makes me want to do it again.

Los Angeles is a pretty tough city. When I first moved here from New York I wasn’t sure I’d fit in, as there’s a definite idea of what’s beautiful. Thanks to ‘Glee’, I think the tides are turning. The show’s really shown people that you don’t have to look like everyone else to be beautiful and successful – beauty can mean so many different things and differences should be celebrated.

Darren Criss on kissing Lea Michele!
Written by on February 27th, 2011

Darren Criss had a few things to say on Friday to “Access Hollywood Live” about his character Blaine kissing Rachel, played by Lea Michele, on “Glee.” The series, which airs on Channel 10 in Tempe, brought in Blaine earlier this season as a possible love interest for Kurt. Openly gay Blaine was experimenting a little with the kiss. It has people talking though.

Criss said the following about the kiss shared by him and Lea Michele during the episode, according to Access Hollywood:

It was clearly, for Blaine, an experiment, which I think is a cool thing to address. More often than not, it’s like the straight guy or the straight person thinking out of the box, but the other side of that is just sort of… conflict.

Lea Michele covers ‘Cosmopolitan’ March 2011!
Written by on January 28th, 2011

What a surprise! Lea is on the cover of Cosmopolitan (new march issue)! Lea looks beautiful in Oscar de la Renta swimwear on the front of Cosmopolitan magazine! <33

She told the US magazine that her nerd image is far off the mark, saying that growing up she played high jinx like replacing vodka with water and then freezing the bottles.

She said: “I love to have fun.” But she insists: ‘I never did drugs. I’m proud of that. Acting always came first.’

But Lea, who is dating Theo Stockman, admitted that her idea of a good night wasn’t exactly wild.

Talking about her ideal evening, she explained: “Take a shower, put on a robe, pour myself a glass of wine and Skype with Theo. That’s the best.”

And she denied speculation about her Glee cast mates dating each other, adding: “I’m so thankful that doesn’t happen. If people hooked up, there’d be awkward tension.”

Hailee Steinfeld says ‘Everything’s fine’ with Lea Michele.
Written by on January 15th, 2011

Who would have guessed when “True Grit” actress Hailee Steinfeld shared her most embarrassing moment with J-14 magazine it would have lead to a public apology from “Glee” star Lea Michele? Let’s go back to the beginning.

Hailee’s OMG moment began when she approached Lea on the Paramount lot to ask for an autograph. We should probably add that this was during Hailee’s “True Grit” audition, so she was dressed, well, a little funny (gotta love the 1800s period costumes!). When Lea walked by without giving Hailee an autograph, the 14-year-old left crying! The story made quite the rounds on the internet, prompting Lea to issue an apology.

“I heard Hailee was upset and feel terrible,” Lea told Gossip Cop. “The ‘Glee’ schedule is so jam-packed that the PA probably pulled me so that I wouldn’t be late to set. I never meant to hurt her feelings. She’s an extraordinary talent and I look forward to meeting her one day.”

So where do the two stand now? Hailee told MTV News on the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards that “everything’s fine.”

“I mean, it was just really bad timing,” Hailee said. “And I was so embarrassed because of what I was wearing. The only thoughts that were going through my head were, ‘Oh my god, Lea Michele thinks I’m a total freak.’ Everything is totally fine though.”

Lea Michele happy at home.
Written by on December 28th, 2010

Lea Michele enjoys relaxing in front of the TV after a hard day’s work. The actress-and-singer has been busy recently thanks to the popularity of the US musical comedy Glee. Her performances as Rachel Berry have won her nominations for Golden Globe and Emmy awards.

When she isn’t busy working, Lea loves nothing better than unwinding by flicking the television on and getting comfy.

“I love to come home, sack out on the couch and watch TV. Anything Bravo is my favourite,” she told US Weekly.

The 24-year-old has contributed vocals to several Glee albums, including an upcoming Christmas record. And now she fancies branching out on her own to further prove her undoubted vocal talents. But the American admits she does not want any more responsibility just yet. For the time being she is content on developing her popular Glee character.

“I think a solo CD is definitely in my future, but that is a really big commitment. Rachel’s my baby, and making an album would be like taking care of another baby. And I’m not really ready to have another kid yet!” she joked.

Lea Michele in 1998 – videos.
Written by on December 21st, 2010

Before Lea Michele was Rachel Berry on Glee, she was a precocious little girl shining on Broadway. Back in 1998, when Lea was 12, an MTV video crew interviewed Lea and her mom about what it was like to be a kid in show business. Needless to say, Lea’s mom didn’t say much as Lea stole the show. Check out the clip below.

“I have my friends that said, ‘Wow, you’re on Broadway,’ which I hate to be treated that way. That, I think, has been the worst part in the theatrical business,” she says in the video.

“Being in the business has kind of made me grow up so fast,” she adds. “Everyone says, you’re so mature. I can do anything! And that’s how I kind of, you know, stay sane in this really tough, dog-eat-dog business”

Lea was so cute! But as we can notice, she is definitely a chatterbox! Ha ha ;)

I have for you also second part of MTV Seven, where you can hear what Lea’s teachers have to say about her ;)
