Written by on May 3rd, 2012

I can’t believe it’s only few episodes away from Glee-duation. Can’t even imagine how emotional it must have been for the cast but most of them will still be returning next season. Like Lea said, it’s the end of something. But it certainly isn’t the end of everything.

‘The Glee Project’ Season 2 Promo featuring Lea Michele as guest mentor
Written by on May 3rd, 2012

It was reported back in January that Lea Michele will appear as a guest mentor on the season 2 premiere of ‘The Glee Project’ and they have just released the video promo. I have also quoted below the news dated January 23rd as it hasn’t been posted before.

Time to Gleek out — Lea Michele will serve as a guest mentor in The Glee Project‘s Season 2 premiere.
Michele, who is the first of the show’s Season 2 guests to be revealed, broke the good news herself via Twitter over the weekend, but Oxygen officially made the announcement on Monday morning.

Glee stars were a regular fixture during Glee Project‘s first season. Among the McKinley High regulars who guest mentored the contestants were Darren Criss, Harry Shum Jr., Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale.

Season 2 of The Glee Project began filming this week in Los Angeles, and will air on Oxygen in Summer 2012.

Glee Sneak Peek: Watch Rachel Prepare for the Audition of a Lifetime With Finn’s Help!
Written by on April 28th, 2012

Welcome back, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele)!

With her NYADA audition rapidly approaching, Rachel is reverting to her pilot ways on Glee this Tuesday, meaning she’s at her neurotic best, and we couldn’t be happier.

So how is Rachel preparing for the biggest audition of her life? And why is she refusing to kiss fiancé Finn (Cory Monteith)?! We’ve got an exclusive sneak peek at “Choke,” which will answer those questions—plus you’ll finally find out what Rachel’s “presidential” face looks like.

How ah-mah-zing is Rachel’s inner monologue throughout the scene?!

In typical Rachel fashion, she’s super focused and regimented before the NYADA audition to ensure that she’s in tip-top shape.

Some of the precautions she’s taking? No doorknobs (don’t worry, Finn’s more than happy to play her personal door-opener) and no kisses (sorry, Finn, you win some, you lose some!), as well as no stepping on cracks. Oh, and walking backward down the hallway. Can’t forget about that! Glee fans should probably be preparing themselves for a cloudy day on Wednesday, as Rachel is determined to shine so bright during her audition that “the sun is going to cry with envy.”

We’re thinking Finchel fans will particularly love the moment when Finn helps Rachel practice her many faces in the mirror. (How cute is Finn with the timer?!) Our favorite? Presidential! Plus, there’s a little wink—literally—to fans of Rachel and Puck (Mark Salling) (remember those days?!) thrown in the clip for good measure!

Still, Rachel’s intense and makeout-less preparations may all be for nothing considering the episode is titled “Choke” and the synopsis says Rachel and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will receive news that could possibly send their well-laid plans into a tailspin. Yikes!

Glee airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Who do you think will choke during their NYADA audition, Rachel or Kurt? Which of Rachel’s faces is your favorite? Sound off in the comments!

Glee 3×18 Extended Promo – “Choke” (Happy.. Sad.. Surprised..)

Darren Criss and Lea Michele Serenade Jonsson Cancer Center Supporters With their First Ever Duet
Written by on April 26th, 2012

Darren Criss and Lea Michele of “Glee” did more than sing together in public for the first time at “Taste for a Cure 2012,” the Apr. 20 fundraiser for UCLA’s Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation.

“Along with performing tonight, which is such a gift, and so generous, they were both bidding on auction items,” said dinner co-chair Dana Walden, who then turned to the TV stars and declared, “You rock!” Walden is chairman of Twentieth Century Fox Television.

The event honored NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke with the 2012 Gil Nickel Humanitarian Award. In ceremonies, Walden praised Salke for her kindness, generosity and loyalty.

“Never in the history of fundraisers has someone had more reason to decline being honored at an event like this, but when it comes to one of her friends and people in need of help, ‘no’ just isn’t in Jennifer’s vocabulary.”

In accepting her award, Salke spoke of her brushes with cancer and thanked the Jonsson Center “for the incredible work that you do every single day to save and improve the lives of your patients.”

Glee creator Ryan Murphy concluded ceremonies by introducing Criss and Michele, but not without recalling Salke’s role in Glee’s inception.

“When I told (Salke) four years ago that I wanted to do a television musical about the worst high school glee club in Lima, Ohio, she could have easily run screaming from the room – but she got it right away,” he said. “’Glee’ is all about optimism and hope, which is certainly something everyone could use a little bit more of in their lives.”

Murphy then introduced “the amazing Darren Criss and the unforgettable Lea Michele.”

Criss, aka Blaine Anderson in “Glee,” started the show solo, by singing “Almost Like Being in Love.” He followed with “Teenage Dream,“ the song he sang on his first Glee episode, and the song he said turned his life upside down.

Calling his performance a warm-up act for Michele, Criss described the show’s Rachel Berry as “charismatic” and “beautiful,” and summed up by saying, “I’m one of her biggest fans and I cry every time she sings on the show.”

Taking her turn onstage, Michele opened with “My Man,” before pausing to praise Salke. “It is because of you that ‘Glee’ is so wonderful,” she said.

The evening ended with the two singing a mesmerizing “To Make You Feel My Love.”

More dinner co-chairs were Jon Holman of The Holman Group, Larry Maguire of Far Niente Winery, Jay Sures of United Talent Agency and Gary Newman, chairman of Twentieth Century Fox Television, who introduced Judith Gasson, director of the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. Among others attending were David Nevins, Showtime’s president of entertainment; and Kevin Reilly, president of FOX Broadcasting Company.

Participating chefs were Gilles Arzur of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel; Ludovic Lefebvre of LudoBites; Suzanne Tracht of Jar; and Cindy Pawlcyn of Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen, Mustards Grill and Brassica.
