Glee Is Going to Comic-Con – Find Out Who Will Be There

Reports of a Glee-less Comic-Con have been greatly exaggerated.
In a late development that is sure to have Gleeks frantically scouring the Interwebs for last-minute travel deals to San Diego, Glee is not only returning to Comic-Con next month but it will do so with one of its most star-studded panels in years.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz and Naya Rivera are confirmed to headline the panel, which is set to take place in the Indigo Room on Saturday, July 14 from 6 to 7 pm PST. (The 11th hour decision to bring Glee to the Con prevented the show from securing the ginormous Hall H, which is where the panel was held last year.)
Additionally, Glee co-creator and executive producer Brad Falchuk will be on hand to preview the show’s fourth season.
Oh, and yours truly will once again be moderating, so you can probably count on a healthy supply of spoilers.
“The fans at Comic-Con were among the first to really get behind our show, and we’ve had such a great time returning there every summer,” says Falchuk. “This was the first year our cast has not gone out on tour, so Ryan and I thought we’d let them have some well-deserved time off. But everyone wanted to be there, so we couldn’t be happier that Glee is returning to the convention where we feel it all started.”

Dirty Dancing Film Remake Postponed; Lea Michele Screen Tested For Reboot

The remake of the hit 1987 film Dirty Dancing has been postponed, according to Deadline.com. Directed by original Dirty Dancing choreographer Kenny Ortega, the film was scheduled to be released in July 2013, but Lionsgate will now hold the release until at least 2014. No cast has ben announced, although Lea Michele (Glee) was reportedly screen tested for the film, in addition to Liana Liberato (Trespass), Canadian singer Nikki Yanofsky, Luke Grime (Brothers & Sisters), Justin Gaston (Nashville Star) and Derek Hough (Dancing With the Stars).
Directed by Emile Ardolino, the 1987 film version starred Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze. Dirty Dancing is the story of Frances “Baby” Houseman (Grey) who meets rebellious dance instructor Johnny Castle (Swayze) at a summer resort. When Johnny’s dance partner is no longer able to perform, Johnny trains Baby to become a seductive dancer, and romance ensues. In October 2006, a musical adaptation of Dirty Dancing premiered in London’s West End and closed on July 9, 2011. Additionally, the stage production toured throughout North America.
Ortega’s directing credits include the High School Musical films, Newsies, This Is It, Hocus Pocus and the short-lived Dirty Dancing TV series.

Glee Stars Lea Michele & Cory Monteith’s “Date Night”
Glee’s real-life couple Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are slowly but surely taking their romance public. Both were at last night’s Chrysalis Butterfly Ball. While they may have walked the red carpet solo…

Monteith made it clear that they were there very much together.
“It’s a bit of a date night, yeah,” Monteith, 30, told me exclusively before joining Michele, 25, inside the gala, which took place at an enormous estate in the Brentwood neighborhood of L.A.
Michele, looked amazing in a body-hugging silk Emilio Pucci gown, but played it a bit more coy. When I asked who her date was, she giggled that she was with her girlfriends. But then she added that I’d probably recognize some other people inside.
Once inside, the lovebirds didn’t leave each other’s sides. They wrapped their arms around each other and stole some kisses.
Check out 50+ HQ photos from the event!
Michele and Monteith had dinner at a table that also included Jenna Dewan in a chic yellow Valentino gown and Jamie-Lynn Sigler matching the purple theme of the night in fab Nicole Miller.
Monteith had just returned from a vacation. “It was amazing,” he said.” I drove from here to Vancouver then I went to Tokyo and then I drove back from Vancouver to here.”
Michele said she also planned to get away now that Glee is on break.
Will Monteith be with her? As if he wouldn’t be.
Also at the Audi-sponsored affair, which benefited Chrysalis’ work to help the homeless and low-income individuals find employment, were Ryan Murphy, Ashley Tisdale, Kim Raver, Sarah Drew, Johnny Knoxville, Colin Egglesfield, Soleil Moon Frye, Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart and Whitney Cummings, among many others.

Glee’s Ryan Murphy Talks “Re-Energized” Season 4

All of Glee’s McKinley High graduates are coming back for Season 4, but will they appear in every episode?
“I want them to come back,” co-creator Ryan Murphy told reporters after a TV academy event for The Glee Project, when asked about Mike and Mercedes, who are moving out of Lima but not following Rachel Berry’s footsteps to New York. “I think it’ll be a different way. I mean, no one is really going to be doing 22 episodes except Lea [Michele]. We haven’t figured it out, but I know what the stories are. I just don’t know how many episodes.”
Does that mean less screen for longtime leads Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Finn (Cory Monteith) as well? When asked about the two fan favorites, Murphy backtracked on his earlier comments and stressed that the number of appearances will be up to cast members. “I shouldn’t say that actually because I had a list and then we were writing today. I think we want to keep our options open,” he said. “I think I have to talk to the actors and say, ‘What do you want to do?’ That’s how we’ve been dealing with that. I’ve only talked to Lea so far. So maybe yes, when I talk to them. That’s all happening in the next two weeks.”
Murphy also wouldn’t confirm whether the musical show would follow Finn to boot camp or into battle after he announced his plans to join the Army in the season finale. “That’s a big secret,” he said.
Although Murphy said Glee’s writers room just started working on the Season 4 premiere, he only had positive things to say about writing for the new format that will split time between Ohio and New York. “It’s fun. It feels re-energized,” he said. “The Kate Hudson part is really good. The Sarah Jessica Parker part is really good. It’s fun to have those people.”
Meanwhile, Season 2 of The Glee Project (Tuesdays at 10/9c on Oxygen) will welcome more Glee cast members as mentors. Colfer, Amber Riley, Darren Criss and Jane Lynch will join previously announced mentors Michele, Monteith, Larsen and Naya Rivera. “The funny thing about the mentors for this season is that the Glee cast really wanted to do it. The first season, they did not want to do it,” Murphy said. “But then they all watched the show and they became fans of the show. They, for the most part, called me and said, ‘I want to do it!’”
The Glee Project airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on Oxygen. Glee returns for Season 4 this fall on Thursdays at 9/8c on Fox.

Lea Michele teases ‘The Glee Project’ season 2 premiere
When we last saw Lea Michele, her Glee character Rachel Berry was putting it all on the line and moving to New York City to make her dreams of stardom come true. Though Michele herself was a Broadway veteran at the ripe old age of 9, moving to TV (and across the country) for Glee was a big leap of faith. So she can relate to the 14 hopefuls on this season of The Glee Project. Below, watch the Emmy-nominated actress make her grand entrance as a mentor on the June 5 premiere, then find out her early favorite and the Glee wannabes’ first song.

The season opener focuses on individuality. For Michele, mentoring the competitors was simple.
“I encouraged them to do what they were already doing, to be comfortable in their own skin,” she said. “They are such incredible kids who are so brave to come on TV and put themselves out there. It was really more of a gift for me because I was so inspired and motivated by them.”
Which song did Glee creator Ryan Murphy choose to show off the kids’ individuality? “Born This Way,” of course. “It paired perfectly with the theme of the episode,” said Michele, but she didn’t reveal whether anyone would don the hilarious stuffed animal dress Rachel rocked back in season 1.
Michele admitted she was “blown away” by the 14 hopefuls — who include a soulful triple threat (who also happens to be blind) named Mario, a Turkish diva named Aylin, and Tyler, the show’s first transgendered contestant. But she said she had a special connection with a big-voiced southerner named Shanna. Shanna has overcome her mother’s drug use (high school classmates used to call her “crack baby”) and also a recent vocal surgery. “Not only is her voice incredible,” said Michele, “but her personal story [is, too]. Her personality is so charming and nice. I hope that she does really well.”
After years of auditioning — her go-to song is “On My Own” from Les Misérables — before landing Glee, Michele knows exactly what the contestants are going through. Now, having worked as a mentor, she can also feel Murphy’s pain. “The difficult thing that they’re going to have with the show is that everyone is so immensely talented,” she said. “I told Ryan when I left, ‘You will have the hardest job. How are you going to pick someone? They’re all so incredible!’”
The Glee Project premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET on Oxygen.

GLEE – Yearbook Superlatives: Vol. 1 – 3
Lea isn’t in any of them but she’s mentioned a couple of times, even voted ‘Best Hair’. Kevin McHale picked Lea for the ‘Best Dressed’ category while Vanessa Lengies thought Lea could be really kooky. The best part tho must be the face Cory made when he chose Lea as having the ‘Best Body’. He also said, “Lea is kind of a nerd. She just goes home at the end of the day to hang out with her cat” lol gotta love the Glee cast!
